My Four Useful Websites

Task Description: For this activity, I have taken screenshots of four different websites that I found helpful to my learning. They are websites that I've used in class or websites that I've used on my own time at home. I've presented and posted them into a presentation. On my blog, I've shared a presentation of my four different favorite learning websites.

Task Description: For this activity, I have created a list of my ‘Top 5’ favorite things to do, I've also added some nice photo's of me when I enjoyed doing these things as I was a little toddler.

Achieving our Dreams

WALT: brainstorm six ways in which you could support them in achieving their dream job

Task Description: For this activity, I have chosen a friend and asked them what their dream job would be. Then I have proceeded to brainstorm six ways in which I could support him in achieving his dream job. On my blog, I have presented my ideas as a poster or infographic name it anything you want! This was my friend Joseph's dream job since I forgot to add it to the poster, my bad.

LeBron James is one of the most famous professional basketball players in the world. He currently plays in the NBA (National Basketball Association) for the Los Angeles Lakers. He has won numerous awards over the years, helping his teams win many important games.

Steven Adams also plays in the NBA, but unlike LeBron, Steven comes from Rotorua, New Zealand and is the half-brother of Olympic gold medalist Valerie Adams. That’s a pretty cool family connection, isn’t it?! Steven Adams currently lives in the United States and plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team.

Despite being born in different countries, these two incredible basketballers have a number of similarities. Both men came from humble beginnings. Neither of their families had a lot of money, and neither man grew up with a father at home. Even though they faced challenges, they were able to overcome them. Both men are examples of what is possible when you work hard and believe in yourself.

The Task =

My chosen player is Michael Jordan, I will be asking five questions upon him, let's  get to it!

1. Who/What has motivated you to play basketball?
2. How did it feel once you got selected for the Chicago Bulls?
3. Do you like your position when you play? If not what will you change your position too? 
4. How did you feel playing the 15 seasons, was it worth the 6 wins? 
5. Did you want to become a basketball player before this all happen? If so, what path would you go Studying? Other sports? a different career.

Superpowers!

Summer Learning Journey Task Description:

Jonah Lomu was a rugby superstar. He was the youngest ever All Black, selected at just 19 years of age. He went on to have an amazing career that included 63 caps (international games) and 37 tries. Jonah was Tongan, but spent most of his childhood in Mangere, South Auckland. He started out playing touch rugby and rugby league but changed over to rugby union and quickly made a name for himself. He was very tall, strong and fast.

                                                    All Blacks still looking up to Mount Everest Man McCaw by Rugby World Cup News 2019

Richie McCaw is another example of a famous rugby player. He was the captain of the All Blacks between 2004 and 2015. Like Jonah Lomu, he had an outstanding international career in rugby union and had many achievements. In fact, he was the most capped All Black captain, most capped test rugby player and World Rugby Player of the Year in 2006, 2009, and 2010. He has been given a Halberg Award and made a member of the Order of New Zealand. As well as being an outstanding player, Richie McCaw was also a strong leader and captain. 

For many people, players like Jonah Lomu and Richie McCaw are superheroes with extra special ‘superpowers.’

For this activity, let’s imagine that you could be a superhero for a day. What three superpowers would you most like to have?

On your blog, please list the three superpowers, tell us why you have chosen each one, and tell us what you are going to do with them.

Ok, So it's my time to explain what are the three powers that I will be!

1.) It will have to be 'Nature'. If your thinking "What do you mean by that?" and have no clue what I mean by this is. What heroes need to do is save humanity & the world, right? So I'm talking about saving the world (earth) If I use my powers to save all plants, trees, flowers and the environment it will affect life on earth to be easier to live!

2.) Telekinesis, Telekinesis is a handy superpower too. Using it to save people from danger, heights, falling & life-threatening situations (If I'm ever in one) Grabbing items in seconds make a whole group of differences, but I wouldn't like to be lazy so I'll use it for emergencies! 

3.) Levitating, Flying will be one of the coolest of superpowers! I'll just fly up into the sky and look for trouble to release.  

I still have a few more and what I mean by that is a lot more where that came from! I enjoyed this task very much see you in another blog post!

Who do I think is brave?

Task Description: For this activity, I have prepared a little slide show that shows who I thought is brave It could be a celebrity or someone I know, were brave like Sully. On my blog, I have recounted a time when I or someone else I know who had done something brave.

Ok, so before I get "Hope, this was supposed to be a poem about Neil Armstrong? Why do I see more things?...About those, I feel like adding more to my post because why not? So if you don't mind let's continue with the activity. 

In this project, I've designed a google drawing acrostic, poem & quote explaining how I believably imagined Neil Armstrong felt taking his first steps on the moon. I've taken a screenshot of the task and here were the results! With me not knowing how to create a  poem I simply just wrote sentences about the incident two times with a conclusion at the end! Hopefully, it works out to be a poem and I enthusiastically enjoyed this task!

The First Female Solo Aviators

In this activity, I will be presenting this screenshot of what Jean Batten & Amelia Earhart have & don't have in common. What do they have in common that we don't know of, well the two females are both aviators, not knowing what the word means? It specifically means (pilot)  in a more elegant way.

Which charity am I interested in?

Auckland City Mission, Is one I prefer, they don't just support one need, they support more than 6!
What they do is support Homeground, Crisis, Homeless, Elderly, Distribution, Drug & Alcohol, Health Services.

I really enjoy helping others where in this case the Auckland City Mission is helping Aucklanders by providing them with there services. 

Where does your family came from

Kia Orana & Fakalofa lahi atu! 

My name is Hope, I come from the Islands Rarotonga & Niue!
Half- Half from my mum and dad. Coming from my mum's side she lived in Arorangi. Arorangi is one of the five districts that make up the island of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands. It is located northwest of the district of Titikaveka, and southwest of the district of Avarua. My other half from my father's side is had to communicate because all I know is that he lives in Niue and that is it. If I get more information from him I would love to share the information in this portion!

10 foods you would take out at sea?

Task description: making a list of ten food items that I would take with me. I won’t have access to a refrigerator or freezer while at sea. I have explained why I would select each item on the right. (P.S the explanation is not inlined with the item the order it's mixed up, because I'm lazy to put it in order...heh)

WALT: Monitor ourselves to complete a task.

Task description: We had to describe the cover of the books to see how it may hook the reader into reading the book. I have written down how the Blub, Tile and Cover design hooks in the reader. On the second slide, I've explained how the pictures on the cover link to the story and how I would think the characters were related to the images. And finally, the conclusion, What did I like about it, What would I change and how it affected the reader.

Ace, Wenny & Clubs walked and walked as the days just keeps going.
The four ignorant teens search their ways of finding this mystery floating
place. The four teens reach a destination. 

“Come up! Come all! The biggest village comes to celebrate the one and
only! “KING CAMRON!”

The teens look with confusion seeing the man yelling from his head to toe’s
walk down the unbelievably large stage. Wenny goes in for a clue to find
where in the world is the magical Keyhole Island. 

“H-hey, sir… do you mind giving us a hint about where the Keyhole island is?”

With confusion, he looks around to see where the voice came from.

“Oh well hello, their little one, My names Cat in the Hat, Was it that
I heard was about the Keyhole island?”

“Yes, That’s it would you help us find where it maybe?”

“Well, why not, Helping kids wouldn’t be that hard, Plus I know
just the way to get there! So let's get going!”

*MEANWHILE WITH THE OTHERS*

“Oh no here we go again Wenny talking to strangers again..”

“Don’t worry Ace I’m sure she knows what she’s doing...hopefully.”

“HEY, GUYS MEET CAT IN THE HAT!!”

The two pairs run back to Clubs & Ace.

“Welcome, there my name is Clubs & this is Ace!”

“It’s nice to meet yous too let get going!”

*In Ace’s head*

“Ugh, not a lame stupid cat…come on Wenny…”

A moment later before a disaster, they have reached a maze. 

“Oh no, not a maze…!”

“Don’t worry Ace, let’s just get this over and done with!”

“F-fine….”

Minutes later, Cat in the Hat stop in his tracks and grinned with evil. 

“I’m not here to help you… I’M HERE TO CAPTURE ALL!!!

“HAA I KNEW IT!!!”

“NOT THE TIME ACE!!”

Running into different directions two makes it out.

“*Puffing* I-I think we made it out…”

“Y-yeah..wait...WHERE'S ACE!?!”

*Back with Ace*

“LET ME GO YOU MONSTER!”

“Nah let’s go to my place~”

Walking out of the maze, they reached a tunnel that led them to
the mysterious floating Keyhole island. Walking off the cliff about
to fall, they both magically start walking on thin air.

*Inside the barn*

“You will not succeed! ``The Cat in the Hat.”

“Oh, are you sure-”

Wenny jumps in and grabs Ace then runs out of the barn with
him. Behind them came Clubs running into the tunnel then into
the maze trying to find their way out.

“You guys do know that I know the way out of here~”

“WE DON’T CARE WE ARE ALL READY OUT OF THIS MAZE!”

“Wait...WHAT!”

Stomping feet smack the ground as the teens run to their safety
the biggest village. But not for so long the Cat in the Hat catches
up to them. Grabbing the teens which yelled for help. A man that
called out “GUARDS!” telling them to go help us. Then right there
the guards came running towards us fighting the cat in the hat to
stop harassing us. 

“SIR!, PLEASE STEP AWAY FROM THE KIDS!”

The cat in the hat did exactly that. Letting go of the kids one
by one he got arrested for assaulting the teens. With shocked
eyes the teens walked into a hotel paying for the stay, and also
never go on a mythical hunt ever again.

“W-wait did you see that outside guys?”

“Huh? Wait do you think its Number 1 and Number 2 ...?”
