A Message From Glen Taylor School

 Hi Everyone,

A message from Glen Taylor School is a film created by Room 11 students. It is filled with inspirational quotes and words of wisdom to help you realize you're special.

I hope when you leave today you are inspired and motivated to embrace your uniqueness and strive to succeed! Don't let anyone stand in your way!

Go forth and conquer!

I was a presenter, so my day when off by going straight to the cinemas with the other presenters. My heartfelt as if it was going to fall out of my chest but it went well throughout the day.

Finally, when we finished presenting to three different schools. We got a little spoilt and got treated to a frozen coke from Mc Donalds, hehe my favorite highlight :)

The other films from other schools were very entertaining, and we all created different films showing the students learning and inspirations.

Daily 5 Task - Read to Self/Someone

Kids' Book Review: Review: Wonder
The book I read for Daily 5 was, Wonder. I've read this book about two times and it still gets to me. I read the first chapter which was an introduction about a little boy named Auggie when he was born, didn't develop as he should while his mother was carrying him. It took multiple surgeries to transfer the needed senses to his face. He didn't look like an ordinary kid, but to him. He thought he looks horrific. He's never been to a real school filled with kids before, and in 5th grade was his time. My thoughts on this first chapter were interesting and enjoyable. I read this book to my sister who listened after I read it to myself. This was the cover of the book that I was reading. I recently found out that there was a movie about the book and I can't wait to check it out!

Daily 5 - Work On Writing

Free Writing - A Short Narrative

Once upon a time, there lived the tiniest Mouse. The Mouse loved to eat cheese and run around the ginormous house it sneaked into. Wondering about, it sniffs the most mouth-watering scent. It doesn't smell like cheese but it wouldn't hurt to try. It hurried, following the scrumptious aroma. 'WACK!' 'WACK!' The noises follow behind the mouse. Is this the end of my adventure already? Why must a trap be set here in this large house? How did they know I was here? The Mouse turned around to see a wooden plank with a small hardened sliver line. I've seen those traps before but this time it didn't have cheese on it? Something seems fishy but wait...I see it! I see the food! It looks as good as it does in real life! I've never seen anything like this before! When the Mouse was above the finger-licking meal, 'WACK!' A Mousetrap was placed right there. The food splattered everywhere along with a lifeless Mouse.

LCS - All about you!

Using Google Drawing we had 8 sections that said: What do you like to do in your spare time? Do you play any sports? Do you have any hobbies? What music do you like best? Do you play any musical instruments? Do you have creative interests? Have you ever been pleased with something you’ve done well? What are your favorite foods? Those were the questions we answered in the shown image. The pictures aside from the sections are pictures that match some of the description written in the boxes. Enjoy!

with so much to share! I’ve met a new person on my first day of school! She is also new to
the school as well we’ve gotten along with each other so well! I hope to learn differently

"Identity"

Last week as a class Room 11 all wrote what the word "Identity" means to us in one doc. We had our own box to write in and we proceed to explain the word. I wrote down what it means to me,

"Identity? When I think of that word It reminds me of my mum, dad, my siblings and others that I’m related to. Again to me, it’s just a word that people pronounce as your personality, who you are and where you came from, but looking into the word means more than it looks. I find many many more interesting and surprising things that I not only know of but things I wouldn't even think of while mentioning the word. I’ll gladly say that the word means more than what you think it means and don’t get ahead of yourself when thinking the words means nothing when it does."

That's what I wrote down in the box. It really didn't mean anything to me but now it's different.

That's all I remembered last week I found it really interesting. How about you? What do you think of the word? Is it positive, negative or neutral?
