Kia Orana, Fakalofa lahi atu and greetings to all.

I am delighted to present myself to the school that I’ve newly enrolled in. My name is
Hope, I came here from Pt England school. This will be my first and last year here at
Glen Taylor. To all that are new as well, I will like to make a good connection with you
all hopefully getting to know yous too.

I’ve heard there are new students in the school, a whole heap of kids joined the school
with so much to share! I’ve met a new person on my first day of school! She is also new to
the school as well we’ve gotten along with each other so well! I hope to learn differently
and make as many memories as I can! Are you excited for 2020?

Onion Cells/Cheek Cells ~ Microscope Drawings

First off we started with our partners of 2. Since everybody had a partner I had to be by myself which was easier for me to just doing and yeah. After you have your buddy you will be given a small glass slide where you put your cheek cells onto. We used a popsicle stick to collect the cheek cells. When we have finished we add a drop of saline solution which is known as (saltwater sodium and chlorine). Letting that dry a bit we add in dye (Methylene). Leaving that for a bit we dip it into the water and clean off all liquids without touching it. Here is a drawing of 4 of my cheeks cells. By the way, the space in the middle is not counted as a cell.

During the breaks when we were waiting for the cells to dry. We drew a picture of 4-5 onion cells. We followed a lady drawing the onion cell and these were the results.

Task description: Our teacher has given us a task to buddy up with a partner and list out 10 facts that we know from an octopus. My partner was Madison, How are You guys getting the information from? We have gotten it from this link to get information about an octopuses.

The origin of life

WALT: Explaining the origin of life.

Task description: I have explained what I've understood in the origin of life. I've also done an about me on who, and what I am. Talking about my thinking about learning genomics for this term, and what I would like to find out further about the origin of life.

The fragile web of life.

WALT: Explaining the fragile web of life.

Task description: I had to put the main information in to the slide and mark them as bullet points to support the what it may be. I have Explained what and how the fragile web of life is, and put in some questions on the web of life plus my interests in it.

To Christchurch.

Dear to all the people in Christchurch and the people who has lost a family member. And especially to our dear Muslims. I have high hope's in the future and to bless the family's and friends who had to go through so much last Friday. Saying this is really hard but I hope you past on and keep going because some people out there pray and try to support our community,  I wish for those 50 people who did go though hard times, to be happy and stay happy and we all in New Zealand will always remember you.

Ployfest 2019!

Polyfest for 2019!!

Wow that was so cool! polyfest was so much fun! But if you do know what polyfest is then
I will show and describe it to you then.

So polyfest is something that people and kids from the public and school come and do lots of activities

and content with each other also the reason why we have polyfest is because of ASB.
So it was on 13 of march when we went there plus we had to be in groups so I was in friends group
plus family okay so we went on the bus and drove of to polyfest but we don't want to talk about that so
to the part that was fun, so at the end of seeing some activities we went to see the a group and I think
it was kapa haka? But  at the end of that we walked back to where we begin and guess what, we saw
two of our schoolmates up on the stage dancing to music. Oh gosh we were all yelling there names
out it was priceless but it was very fun. Hah after all the commotion, we all went out and got something
to eat and drink. And yeah that was about it,I will leave you guys some photos and videos to watch bye!

Today two people came into our class Nathan and Makayla they both introduced them selves,and they asked us to go on hour of code and said "we could play all the games on hour of code", Also they said that if we need help we can ask them kindly to help us.
